Desert Curls Studio
Online Course // January 2022
Develop a second online course and user purchase flow for a well-known curly hair expert and educator in response to the first online course we created together in 2019 that has grossed over $200K.
This curly hair expert and educator wanted a way to create a passive income stream from sharing her vast knowledge about naturally curly hair.
We originally worked together in 2019 to build a brand new website for her salon business and to create her first online tutorial. This project was a follow-up to the first, very successful online course and required a strategy to differentiate the two courses despite sharing the same target audience.
This client was very hands off which allowed me to develop the full strategy, design, and complementary course content to supplement her videos from the ground up.

Shelby's Book Shoppe
UI/UX Web Design Project // April 2021
Small brick and mortar bookstore located in rural Northern Nevada in need of an online presence.
The new owner of this local bookstore was in need of modernizing the current business website, letting customers know of the new ownership, and further developing the online presence of the store in an attempt to attract new clientele.
For this project I worked with the branding package the client provided and built a responsive website that married the aesthetics the client desired with the information and functionality the site needed for an exceptional user experience.
Since the original website development, we have worked together to add multiple ways her customers can order from her online including a detailed order request form that can be filled out directly on the website.
Working with small business clients to bring their in-person businesses online is extremely rewarding and is a great fit for my passion in design, branding and content strategy.
Mod's Best Friend
Ecommerce Web Design // October 2017
Handmade business in need of a way to connect with and sell to potential customers online.
This handmade business had a very successful product line which they sold in-person at craft shows and on Etsy. The owner wanted to reach the customers she connected with at shows so they could purchase from her directly online in an environment where she would have better control of the online customer experience than is available on Etsy.
I worked with her to further develop her branding including developing a color palette and brand fonts. I then built a fully responsive ecommerce website for her on Shopify where her customers could customize their orders by choosing the fabric and the state of their choice mimicking the in-person custom order-taking she was doing in person at shows. I also built and designed a branded email newsletter template so she could stay in touch with her customers.
This type of ecommerce web design and brand strategy work is something that I do frequently and excel at.
Midtown Beauty Bar
UI/UX Web Design Refresh // April 2022
Growing beauty service business in need of a website refresh to reflect the addition of a second location, expanded services, and updated online booking.
This beauty salon owner had grown her business substantially since we originally developed her website in 2019. At that time she was taking all of her appointment requests via text message. I built a responsive website that included a list of her services and an online booking system which improved her quality of life as a business owner and improved the booking experience for her clients.
Since that original project the business has grown to include multiple locations, many more services, and a large staff of providers. This website refresh focused on elevating her online presence to match the growth and evolution of her business and brand.

The Pursuit of Cocktails
Ecommerce Website // Ongoing
Online retail business and prominent blog in need of a unique customer experience.
The Pursuit of Cocktails is a personal project of mine that includes a product line with a patent pending cocktail stick and a niche blog. This website has two objectives, ecommerce and original content creation, but both objectives are focused on serving the same target audience - cocktail lovers.
This website was originally built as an alternative to selling products on Etsy and grew to include a highly search engine optimized blog that incorporates my content strategy background.
This project provides me a place to test strategies, hone my skills, and try new things that I can then bring to my other projects.
